Java/Scala Developers, Tech Leads & Architects

We are currently recruiting for a for a superb eCommerce business in Dubai, UAE and are looking for a number of:

• Java/Scala Developers

• Tech Leads

• Architects

You’ll be a core-part of the technical team and will work closely with the business, our UX team and wider Webshop team to deliver a modern, scalable, high-traffic, robust web-application which is sure to become a household name. We embrace agile techniques and run our projects using cross-functional Scrum teams.

We’ve got the rare-opportunity to start very nearly from scratch here, so you’ll have the opportunity to work with a modern technology stack, including Micro-services, Akka, Cassandra, spark, Lightened, Nodejs, Strongloop, Tomcat, Selenium, JQuery, JMS, Java, Scala, Javascript, Oracle, Mercurial, Maven, Jenkins etc.

What we look for:-

• 2:1 or First class degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or Joint Maths & Computing

• Good A-levels including A (or equivalent) in Maths and either Physics, Further Maths or Computing

• Demonstrable Java programming ability with in-depth understanding of underpinning techniques

• Track record of software development for a range of server-side, web based applications

• Experience with micro-services

• Experience with JMS
